Muthathi Visit

Muthathi and Bheemeshwari are situated in Malavalli Taluk, Mandya district, on the banks of river Kaveri in Karnataka state. These places are nearer to Kanakapura.

How to reach:

Muthathi and Bheemeswari are at a distance
of 90Kms from Bangalore via kanakapura and Sathanur ( or Halagur ). Bus transportation available to reach. From Bangalore there are two ways. Via Kanakapura and via Ramanagaram. People prefer to visit via Kanakapura as it is nearer.

But me and my friend decided to go by train till channapatna (ticket 10 rs/person from bangalore).

From channapatna we took bus to halgur (ticket costs 15 rs/person ). After reaching halgur we went to have breakfast at one small hotel.

Once we reached Halgur, we waited for some time to catch share autos operating till Muthathi ( costs 15 rs/person). We got a share auto and we reached muthathi after 45 mins in auto.

My Camera Click

The Perur Siva Temple is situated some 6 kilometers away in the west of Coimbatore. The temple was built by the Karikala Cholan and it is constructed on the banks of the river Noyyal. The Perur Siva Temple is purely dedicated to the lord Siva and the deity in the shrine is called as Patteeswaras and His Consort, Pachai Nayaki. The buildings in the outer edge were constructed by the sawyers of Madurai during 17th century. The inner place of worship is quite very old and the temple has prominent figures of the Indian soldiers in the entrance. The temple is also called as Mel Chidambaram.
